Spring Oasis Recap

If you weren’t able to attend our Annual Spring Celebration it was live streamed on Facebook. The worship was awesome and we had lots of extra fellowship time. During the program singles broke up into small groups to pray together and it was blessed.  I shared a message about experiencing “The Everyday God.”

You can get the Action Plan (below) that we handed out here and learn more. Jesus got up from His own grave and walked out of His own tomb so that we could follow Him into resurrection life! Don’t settle for anything less!

Our Created Purpose Is To Live Forever As Beloved Children of God.*

The devil uses the monotony of dead religion to present God as uncaring and uninvolved. But the Bible tells us our loving God is our Source and our Sustainer.
“All my fountains are in You” Psalm 87:7.

Our Heavenly Father wants to Parent us and invites us to seek His will in everything. Not just for life changing decisions but in routine situations all day long.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path” Proverbs 3:5,6.

Has your prayer life become monotonous as you dictate your To Do List to your Heavenly Dad? Do you only check in with Him when there’s an emergency? Prayer shouldn’t just be a monologue, it’s intended to be a dialogue. Leave time for God to answer you and write down what He says in a journal with the date.
“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know” Jer. 33:3. (This verse is called God’s telephone number!)

Pray for discernment daily. The devil will target what God tells you to deceive you. His goal is to get you to sin (act independently of God) and not obey Him. At the root of all temptation is the lie that God doesn’t really love you and you must meet your own needs because He never will.
“The serpent said to Eve ‘Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden?’” Gen. 3:1.

God wants us to enjoy a loving relationship with Him as we live out of our union with Him. He wants us to be dependent upon Him to the point of desiring His will for our life over our own. As we do that we rest in Him.
“Abide in Me, and I in you, As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me” John 15:4.

Do you long for a closer walk with God? Begin having a quiet time with Him daily.
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” James 4:8.

Joyce Meyer says “Give God’s Word first priority in your life. Don’t try to work God into your schedule, work your schedule around God.”
“Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105

Begin your morning singing two worship songs and they will resonate with you all day long. And when you feel sad be ready to worship.
“Put on a garment of praise for a spirit of heaviness.” Isaiah 61:3

God Has Commanded Us To Share His Love With Those Around Us. As we begin to receive and experience God’s love we are able to give it out. God hasn’t asked us to love others, He has commanded us to. The essence of the Christian life is love.
“This is my commandment that you love one another, as I have loved you” John 15:12.

God has called us out of the emptiness of a self-centered life. As we trust Him to meet our needs, we can focus on meeting the needs of those around us.
“Love your neighbor as yourself” Mark 12:31

As we pray for God to use us, we need to realize it is His work not ours.
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” Eph. 2:10.

One way to reach out to others is by praying with them. As we do that, we are allowing Christ to live His life through us.
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me;…” Gal. 2:20.

Each encounter we have is an opportunity to operate in our spiritual authority.
“I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Matt. 16:19. See also Rev. 1:18 and rejoice!

It will cost you something to serve God. You have to come out of your comfort zone.
“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me” Matt. 16:24.

The devil will use the fear of being embarrassed to stop you from sharing God’s love. You will have to decide whether you want to be a people pleaser or a God pleaser.
“Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe”
Prov. 29:25.

Bring God’s kingdom to the mall, your job, school, neighborhood and church.
“your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” Matt. 6:10.

A Daily Prayer
“…(May I come) to know (practically, through personal experience) the love of Christ which far surpasses (mere) knowledge (without experience), that I may be filled up (throughout my being) to all the fullness of God (so that I may have the richest experience of God’s presence in my life, completely filled and flooded with God Himself)” Eph. 3:19 AMP.

*The purpose of redemption is intimacy with God. Enjoy the video at Fathersloveletter.com.

Entering the Kingdom of God

I can guarantee this truth: No one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. (John 3:5 GW)

No one has ever yet been “volitionalized” into the kingdom of God; that is, so appealed to in their wills to make a decision, and to determine to be in the kingdom of God, as by the strength of that decision and that determination to have got through. It cannot be done. A great deal of mistake has been made in that connection, and an entirely false position has been brought about for multitudes of people because the effort has been made along those lines, and they have been appealed to along those lines to exercise their own reason, and their own feelings, and their own wills, as though that would regenerate them.
Thus interest and activity in Christianity is one thing, but being in the kingdom is quite another.

Multitudes of good-meaning people are interested in Christianity, and are active in Christianity. They see the value of the Christian standard of life, and Christian teaching, and have thought if only it could be applied, how different the world would be. So they have become busy in Christianity, and have thought they were in the kingdom of God. Not at all! You can have all the interest in Christianity without being in the kingdom. This is what the Lord Jesus said, in effect, and in other and more concise words, to Nicodemus.

The only way in is by our receiving Divine Life as a gift through faith in Jesus Christ, and that becomes the new basis of the new creation, the basis upon which everything begins and is carried through, the basis of Divine Life [John 1:12; John 3:3-16; 2 Cor. 5:17]. That Life has in it all the qualities and energies of the new creation. It constitutes our being in what is called the Kingdom of God.

Fall 2018 Event Report

God really blessed our Annual Fall event. Every seat was filled with at least a hundred singles from throughout the tri-state area and even Ohio!
The dinner and dessert was delicious and the fellowship was warm and friendly. How powerful it is to knock the walls down as singles from different denominations join their voices in worship to our living God! My teaching was on Dating in the Spirit. I talked about destroying thinking patterns the enemy can use to sabotage us. We handed out the Flesh Pattern Inventory with the verses for Jesus Christ is My Life on the back so that you can choose which way you want to walk–Channel A or Channel B. Side one in the Flesh leads to defeat, Side two walking in the Spirit leads to life and victory. Here are digital copies of these documents:
As we allow Christ to live His life through us we are ushering His Kingdom in here on earth. I always sum up our events with the three keys or secrets to the Christian life. They are Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! He never intended us to live life without Him–moment by moment. It’s called abiding, trusting and resting in Him. The Conquering Life is only experienced through the Conquerer Himself! Please prayerfully take time to fill out the flesh inventory. Then get a notebook and write out each verse from the handout Jesus Christ is My Life. Study the Action Plan daily and meditate on the verses so you can be transformed by the renewing of your mind!
I have recommended excellent resources on the bottom of the Action Plan for going deeper in this study.
Thanks so much!
blessings,
Cindy
